Fool around during dinner at Boston's legendary Medieval Manor, where a bawdy but light hearted romp through the dark ages has been on the menu since 1973.  If you aren't one of the million who've already visited (or if it's been quite a while since your last pilgrimage), it's high time to join in the interactive Fun of His Majesty, Minstrel, Jester, Oaf and Wenches entertaining one and all with slapstick and song.  As Canterbury beckons, laughter and camaraderie will soon reveal why so many return so often for such foolishness.
Not too gregarious?  More of a potted plant than a peony?  There's ample room in the castle garden for shrinking violets and wallflowers as well.

Whatever the celebration, bring it to the King!

...Feast n' Flagon

Most everyone adds to their Fun by adding our six course Feast eaten without fork, knife or spoon.  It begins with warm loaves of bread, then pepper cheese trenchers and mussels. Faux Dragon soup, beef rib and salad precede the final course, roasted herbed chicken with steamed vegetables.  There are plenty of napkins to keep fingers dry and tidy.  Cakes (some customers bring cupcakes) are available with 24 hours notice.
For vegetarian substitutes or side orders of additional ribs, call for details.

While feasting, refill your glass from a full pitcher of dark or light beer, a carafe of Chablis or non alcoholic mock mead, or a diet root beer by redeeming a Flagon token, one token per person.  Mixed drinks and bottled beer, soda or wine can also be purchased from the cash bar.  Souvenir logo glasses are also available (at check-in, or at the bar or after the show at the gift shop).  Bringing one from a previous visit can save you $5 per person on Thursdays or Fridays.  Bringing the one missing from the King's collection will get you $50.  Call for details.
Not all that hungry or thirsty?  When you call (617) 423-4900 to book your reservation, if you tell us, the Feast and Flagon won't come.

Turns and Returns

Haven't been since who knows when? Remember Oaf's rubber chicken? Want to meet his new sweetheart or maybe
M'Darlin, the King's main squeeze? Old favorites and new surprises are always being added.

Whether first time virgin or hard core veteran, it's a whole new kingdom waiting to welcome you and your friends.

Accommodations

We are a 21+ venue, more nightclub than Knight Club (we have neither horses or manure).  All shows have the same adult content (we rate ourselves PG-15½) suitable for most families with older children. While there is no nudity or network TV banned words, there are puns, sight gags and other sexually suggestive comedic material unacceptable to some regardless of age.  Some customers prefer audiences without any kids so everyone must be at least 18 at the second show on Saturdays.  The Sunday show is discounted for families but it is no less bawdy.  Many if not most customers find the show too risqué and wholly inappropriate for kids younger than 10. Celebrating a birthday? Still have your souvenir glass from the dim and distant past? Coming with 16 or more? Bringing the kids? Red Hatter or senior citizen? Serving King and country in the military? Want to put our Fun in your fundraiser? Planning way ahead for something special but on a tight budget? Enrolled in college? Ask about special Royal Treatment discounts.

Tables range in size from five to twenty five.  Whenever possible, parties of two, three or four are grouped to fill larger tables.  We ask that parties not exceed 50.
Private shows for 75 or more can be booked on Sunday, either before 1:00 or after 8:30, or on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings after 6:30.  To book a regular show privately requires 150 admissions on a Saturday, 125 on a Friday or Sunday, or just 100 on a Thursday.

Want just "A Bit of Falderal" while you Feast?
We can serve up a tamed down taste of the King's banquet for
school field trips on weekdays with enough notice. Not exactly the Royal Treatment, but a treat nonetheless when festive pageantry is on the knightly lesson plan.

We are 99.9% wheelchair accessible.

  • All guests must be at least 21 years old, be with their parent(s) or have our manager’s approval prior to booking.
  • Management notes it’s obligation to limit or withhold the service of alcoholic beverages or even deny admittance to intoxicated patrons.  A non invasive breath test device may be used to help evaluate blood alcohol levels.  No refunds.
  • The continued availability of cash bar beverages during intermissions is at the discretion of the manager.
  • Sorry, no video cameras or audible cell phones.
  • Clothes are required but there is no reason to dress up.  Shorts are totally acceptable in months without an "r".
  • As at any theatrical event, conversing with others as well as leaving or returning to your seat during the performance is unfair to everyone.  Don’t annoy the King!
